
MTC launches new monthly pass at ₹2,000

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) on Wednesday (March 19, 2025) launched a new Travel As You Please Ticket (TAYPT) monthly pass for commuters.
Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar launched the monthly pass priced at ₹2,000 at a function held at the Mandaveli bus terminus. He said the advantage of the new pass is that commuters can travel on all MTC buses, including the air-conditioned ones, an unlimited number of times.
Earlier, the MTC had issued TAYPT monthly passes priced at ₹1,000 per month, with which commuters could not travel on AC buses.
MTC Managing Director T. Prabhushankar was also present on the occasion.
