
Kudroli Ganesh presented with ‘Golden Magician’ award

Indian Magic Academy awards Kudroli Ganesh 'Golden Magician' for lifetime achievement, urging innovation and institutionalization in magic.
The Indian Magic Academy (IMA) of Andhra Pradesh presented Mangaluru-based senior magician Kudroli Ganesh with the ‘Golden Magician’ national magic award.
He was presented with the award in recognition of his creative experiments in the field of magic and lifetime achievement in magic.
Sribharat Muthukumuli, MP of Visakhapatnam, presented the award at a function held in Visakhapatnam to commemorate the National Magic Day, recently. Renowned magician and president of IMA B.S. Reddy, was present on the occasion.
As part of also its tenth anniversary celebrations, the academy presented awards to ten magicians from India and abroad, including India’s leading magician, P.C. Sorkar Jr. on the occasion.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Ganesh suggested Indian magicians to innovate in their performances to keep up with changing tastes. The art of magic should be institutionalised and the Union government should be urged to take steps for the same, Mr. Ganesh said requesting senior magician Mr. Sorkar to take the lead in this regard.
Mr. Ganesh has been presenting magic shows since over 25 years. He has performed over 2,300 magic shows across the country and in 15 foreign countries.
He has participated in various magic competitions and won 11 national magic awards. Mr. Ganesh has created a unique style of magic that is fusion magic, folklore, theater, and music. Mr. Ganesh is popular for his innovative magic experiments like Tulunadu Magic, Tulunadu Cups and Balls, Harikathe Magic, Navadurga Vismaya, Magic for Cleanliness, Magic for Education and Mind Magic.
