
Diversity on display at AMU campus Iftar

Kerala State Sunni Students Federation hosts diverse Iftar gathering at AMU, showcasing unity, cultural diversity, and teamwork.
An Iftar gathering organised by the Kerala State Sunni Students Federation (SSF) at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) centre at Perinthalmanna in the district provided a memorable time for students from across the country. The Iftar offered a rich blend of traditional Kerala delicacies and North Indian dishes.
The Iftar featured a diverse range of dishes, including traditional Malayali favourites as well as North Indian specialities like Mohabbat-ka-Sharbat, chena, pakoda, and kachadi. A fruit platter was added to the varied spread.
The Iftar marked a collaborative effort, with students from different States taking charge of food preparation and arrangements, showcasing unity and teamwork. Before breaking their fast, the participants offered brief speeches in their respective mother tongues. They spoke in diverse languages, promoting cultural diversity, inclusivity and a sense of community.
The SSF Aligarh campus unit has been organising Iftar gatherings every year in association with the Risala Study Circle.
SSF district campus secretary Nadmudheen Shamil Irfani presided over the function. District secretary P.K. Mohammed Faisal Saqafi and Hashim Bukhari spoke. C. Mohammed Razi Al-Hikmi welcomed the guests. Mohammed Shanib delivered the vote of thanks.
