Journalist Santhosh Vallicode wins Best Editor Award for documentary Magical Millets at Educational Film Festival.
Kozhikode: Journalist Santhosh Vallicode, who directed the documentary Magical Millets, has bagged the Best Editor Award instituted by the Consortium of Educational Communications under the University Grants Commission. The editing was adjudged the best at the 26th Educational Film Festival. The award, comprising ₹25,000 and a certificate, will be presented to the winner at the Educational Film Festival scheduled to commence in Lucknow on March 20, a press release said.

Following protests by residents of Mittaganahalli and Kannur villages over dumping the city’s waste in the Mittaganahalli quarry pit, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will soon issue tenders and work orders and begin work on rural development projects worth ₹500 crore in these areas, Chief Civic Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath said on Monday.
