Hyderabad Zoo raises ticket prices, adult fare now ₹100, children ₹50, new rates effective March 1.
Visiting the Hyderabad Zoological Park is set to be come a costlier affair with the authorities raising the prices across all categories. An adult visitor now has to pay ₹100 and for children the fare is ₹50. Earlier, the adult ticket was priced at ₹70, and for children it was ₹45.
The new fares will come into force from March 1. The decision was taken at the 13th Governing Body of Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana in Hyderabad, according to an official release.
The across the board hike in rates also includes rationalisation with the ticket prices remaining the same for all days, unlike earlier, when weekends and holidays had different rates. The ticket to take and use a still camera is now ₹150 and for a professional shoot ₹2,500, according to information released by the curator of the zoo. The fare hike comes after two years. The last revision of the ticket rates was in May 2023.

At the all fishermen associations and fishing workers meeting organised at Thangachimadam near here on Tuesday, a unanimous decision to launch an indefinite hunger strike on February 28 was taken. Jesu Raja, leader of All Mechanised Boats Fishermen Association, said the hunger strike that would start on Friday would be continued till a positive announcement came from the Union government regarding release of the arrested Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan government.
