CM Stalin attends PMK leader’s family marriage in Salem

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attends PMK leader's grandson's wedding reception in Salem, joined by political figures and celebrities.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attended the marriage reception of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) honorary president G.K. Mani’s grandson on Tuesday evening.
Mr. Stalin landed in Salem around 3 p.m. by flight and proceeded towards a hotel at Mamangam. Later, around 5.20 p.m., the Chief Minister arrived at a marriage hall and congratulated the couple. Later, the Chief Minister left for Coimbatore by road at 5.40 p.m, accompanied by Tourism Minister R. Rajendran and other DMK functionaries.
Similarly, PMK founder S. Ramadoss, PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss, former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran, and various political party functionaries and celebrities from the film industry also attended the event.

At the all fishermen associations and fishing workers meeting organised at Thangachimadam near here on Tuesday, a unanimous decision to launch an indefinite hunger strike on February 28 was taken. Jesu Raja, leader of All Mechanised Boats Fishermen Association, said the hunger strike that would start on Friday would be continued till a positive announcement came from the Union government regarding release of the arrested Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan government.
