
H.S. Manjunath takes oath as Karnataka Youth Congress president

H.S. Manjunath had served as chief of the Karnataka unit of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) twice.
H.S. Manjunath took oath as president of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC), at a function at the Palace ground in Bengaluru on March 17.
KPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and office-bearers of the All-India Youth Congress, attended the function. Former all-India Youth Congress president B. V. Srinivas was present.
Mr. Manjunath, who served as the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) State chief twice, succeeds Mohammed Haris Nalapad as the Youth Congress chief.

Following protests by residents of Mittaganahalli and Kannur villages over dumping the city’s waste in the Mittaganahalli quarry pit, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will soon issue tenders and work orders and begin work on rural development projects worth ₹500 crore in these areas, Chief Civic Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath said on Monday.
