Marvel Studios teases Fantastic Four: First Steps, featuring a fresh take on iconic heroes in a retro-futuristic setting.
Marvel Studios has officially dropped the first teaser for Fantastic Four: First Steps, giving fans their first look at the highly anticipated MCU debut of Marvel’s First Family. Starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), the film promises a fresh take on the beloved heroes.
The trailer also introduces Ralph Ineson as the cosmic menace Galactus and Julia Garner as the enigmatic Silver Surfer, with additional roles played by Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and John Malkovich.
The teaser showcases the Fantastic Four’s origins, exploring their transformation and the challenges they face as they embrace their powers. Amidst the action and some stunning visuals, the theme of unity shines through. “Whatever life throws at us, we face it together — as a family,” Kirby’s Sue Storm declares in the clip.
During a special launch event, the cast gathered to celebrate the film, with Moss-Bachrach leading a roaring “It’s clobbering time!” chant. Pascal expressed his deep connection to the project, stating, “I haven’t had an experience in a cast this intimate, where it truly felt like a family.”
Directed by WandaVision’s Matt Shakman, Fantastic Four: First Steps is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s Manhattan, marking a unique departure from the MCU’s modern timeline. Kevin Feige has confirmed that while it is a period piece, the film’s version of New York may not align with what fans expect.
With past iterations of the Fantastic Four met with mixed reactions, Marvel’s latest adaptation aims to do justice to the iconic heroes. Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25.

“Earth Day celebrations have already started in Bengaluru, with campaigns at various colleges such as St. Josephs, and Christ University where life-size elephants made from the invasive species, Lantana Camera, have been travelling to spread the message of conservation and coexistence, along with expert talks from WWF India and Ravi Chellam of Metastring Foundation,” said the release.
