
ED conducts searches at T.N. Minister K.N. Nehru’s residence

Directorate of Enforcement personnel launched simultaneous checks at the residences of Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru and his late younger brother K.N. Ramajayam at Tiruchi on April 7, 2025.
Directorate of Enforcement (ED) personnel launched simultaneous checks at the residences of Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru and his late younger brother K.N. Ramajayam at Tiruchi on Monday (April 7, 2025).
Police sources said two teams are conducting the searches from around 7 a.m. at Thillai Nagar area where the residences of Mr. Nehru and his younger brother are located. Personnel of the Central security forces are providing armed escort to the ED teams at both places.
The exact reason for the ED teams searches is not known immediately. The sources said Mr. Nehru is in Chennai attending the ongoing Legislative Assembly session.

When reporters brought to her notice the claim by villagers that the late maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar had gifted the land to them, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar said she is not aware of the matter, but sought to assure people that no effort will be made to take back the land that had been gifted by the late maharaja.
