Deputy Commissioner and CEO inspect K.R. Hospital in Mysuru

Deputy Commissioner and CEO visit K.R. Hospital to inspect facilities and discuss manpower requirements for public healthcare.
Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy and Ukkesh Kumar S., who took over as the CEO of Mysuru Zilla Panchayat on Monday, visited K.R. Hospital and inspected its facilities.
The hospital authorities said it was a routine visit. The two officials inspected various departments, including the in-patient and out-patient facilities.
They were accompanied by Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMCRI) Dean and Director K.R. Dakshayani and doctors of the hospitals, including Cheluvamba Hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner gathered details from doctors on treatment facilities and measures taken ahead of summer. Dr. Dakshayani said the issue of manpower requirement was highlighted on the visit.
He also advised doctors to set up a coordination committee for better management of public healthcare facilities under the Departments of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education.
K.R. Hospital is attached to the MMCRI and managed by the Department of Medical Education (DME). The officials also sought information on the facilities set up under the National Health Mission.
Mr. Lakshmikanth Reddy and Mr. Ukkesh Kumar later visited the district hospital which comes under the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
