Kishan and Bandi obstructing KCR, KTR’s arrest in corruption cases: Revanth

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accuses Union Ministers of obstructing legal action against BRS leaders, alleging corruption and BJP ties.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy alleged that Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay were obstructing the legal action against the BRS leaders, including BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, K. T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao for their ‘corruption’ as the BRS had a clandestine understanding with the BJP.
Mr. Reddy claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was getting involved as soon as cases were filed against the BRS leaders for irregularities during their rule and taking away all the files. It happened in the phone tapping case, Formula E-race case and similar cases related to corruption during the BRS regime. He wanted to know why the ED had not arrested KTR in the Formula E racing case or the alleged sheep distribution scam even after seizing all the relevant files. The Chief Minister addressed public meetings at Nizamabad, Mancherial and Karimnagar where he campaigned for the MLC elections.
Mr. Reddy challenged Mr. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay to put pressure on the Central government for the extradition of former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao, the main accused in the phone-tapping case and Shravan Rao, another accused, who were now in the United States.
“It has been several months since a request was sent to the Central government for the extradition of the phone-tapping accused. Why are Kishan Reddy and Sanjay not pursuing that? Isn’t it part of the BRS-BJP nexus,” he asked questioning the morality of Mr Sanjay who questioned the arrest delay. “As the Union Minister of State for Home you bring the main accused to India and I will show you the results that you are expecting,” he said.
Targeting Mr. Kishan Reddy and Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender, the Chief Minister accused them of stalling the expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail and the smooth progress of the Regional Ring Road (RRR). Mr. Reddy has failed to ensure even clearance to Metro Rail expansion in the Cabinet so that the government can raise loans to build the new Metro Rail lines.
Similarly, Mr. Rajender was instigating the people against the government in acquisition of lands for the RRR project. “Don’t they want development in Hyderabad and Telangana,” he asked. BJP leaders support the Sabarmati Riverfront Development, Namami Gange, and Yamuna river cleaning in Delhi but they don’t allocate any funds for the Musi River Front project in Hyderabad, he alleged.
Questioning the BRS absence in the MLC elections fray, he said it was clear that they were supporting the BJP like they did in the Parliament elections.
