
Delhi’s fog disrupts train, flight services; AQI remains in ‘poor’ category

IMD predicts rain with thunderstorms, 98% humidity, 'poor' air quality, and 24°C max temp in Delhi.
Delhi's minimum temperature on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) was recorded at 9.3°C, 1.8 notches above the normal for this season.
The foggy weather continues to disrupt several flights and trains in the national capital. Several flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were delayed due to fog. Nine trains originating from various stations to Delhi were running late as well.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will likely witness rain with thunderstorms. The humidity level recorded at 8.30 a.m. was at 98%.
Meanwhile, the air quality remained in the 'poor' category, with an Air Quality Index of 262 at 9 a.m., according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 24°C, according to the IMD.
