Delhi Assembly election: Delhi Police working to protect the hooliganism of BJP, says Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal accuses Amit Shah of taking over BJP's campaign, Delhi Police aiding in hooliganism, creating fear in voters.
Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at the Centre on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) and said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken over the BJP’s campaign and accused the Delhi Police of aiding it.
Mr. Kejriwal said, “Amit Shah has taken command [of the BJP’s campaign] and the entire Delhi Police has been withdrawn from maintaining the law and order of Delhi and has been deployed for BJP’s campaigning and the entire Delhi Police is now doing BJP’s campaigning.”

He said, “The entire Delhi Police is working to protect the hooliganism of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Money is being distributed, sarees are being distributed, other things are being distributed and police are standing there and checking and making sure that voters are getting this. “
He further pointed out that the National Capital’s law and order situation has completely collapsed.
“I was talking to SHOs and they said that they are getting direct orders from the MHA to go and disrupt meetings of AAP leaders. Police then take BJP’s goons there and let them do hooliganism there,” said Mr. Kejriwal.
He further accused the police of threatening the AAP supporters and workers. “There is an atmosphere of fear in Delhi created to not vote for the AAP,” he alleged.
