HYDRAA addresses public grievances on encroachments, illegal land sales, and FTL limits, ensuring protection of government properties.
The weekly Prajavani grievance meeting, organised by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA), continued to draw extensive public participation on Monday (January 27) with 78 complaints registered till evening.
The session addressed grievances related to encroachments on public assets such as ponds, canals, roads and other government properties. Responding to the concerns, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath assured attendees that their complaints would be investigated by the relevant authorities.
Among the complaints, several residents reported illegal sales of 408 acres of land in Ailapur village, Ameenpur mandal, Sangareddy district. Another grievance highlighted the encroachment of two acres of land in Kuntloor (Pedda Cheruvu) in Abdullapurmet, Rangareddy district. Representatives from K.V.R. Rainbow Colony in Nizampet Municipality expressed concerns over the illegal occupation of a 2,900-yard park in the first division. They claimed that efforts to install exercise equipment in the park were obstructed by encroachers.
Additionally, members of the Vasavi Graduates Cooperative Housing Society raised concerns about the Full Tank Level (FTL) limits of Mansoorabad Pedda Cheruvu in Saroornagar mandal, Rangareddy district. They argued that the extended FTL limits were impeding construction on approved plots within the area.
The Commissioner highlighted the importance of addressing unauthorised constructions and advocated for protective measures to safeguard government lands and parks. He suggested initiatives like fencing and placing signs declaring these properties as ‘Protected by HYDRAA’. He also instructed officials to prioritise cases of encroachment reported after July 2024.
