Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu calls for collaborative efforts to revolutionise education system in Andhra Pradesh. Kick-starting the mega Parents-Teachers’ Meeting across government schools in the State, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, he advises students to excel academically and engage themselves in sports and games for holistic development, and be away from vices.
In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on December 7, 2024 (Saturday) launched a mega Parents-Teachers’ Meeting (PTM) across 45,000 government schools in the State. The meetings witnessed participation of 1.2 crore parents and students.
Speaking at the event organised at the Bapatla Municipal High School, Mr. Naidu emphasised the significance of collaborative efforts by the parents, teachers, and the government to revolutionise the education system.
Stating that such initiatives would pave the way for transformative changes in the education system, the Chief Minister said December 7 would henceforth be observed as Parents-Teachers Day.
Reiterating the importance of education in ensuring a prosperous future for the students, Mr. Naidu advised the pupils to excel academically and engage themselves in sports and games for holistic development.
He said every school would soon issue health and progress cards, besides updating the parents about their children’s issues via mobile notifications.
Speaking about cybercrimes, Mr. Naidu advised parents to monitor their children’s use of technology. He vowed to ensure completion of infrastructure facilities, including digital labs and library, at the high school by the next academic year.
Students and parents later shared their views with the Chief Minister. While a student sought creation of sports courts, a mother of another student sought guidance on career options.
