BRS leader K. Kavitha criticizes Congress government for stifling dissent and betraying farmers, vows to amplify people's voice.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and party MLC K. Kavitha slammed the Congress government accusing it of trying to muzzle voices that question it on ‘unkept promises’ and ‘misrule’.
Talking to mediapersons after paying tributes at Martyrs’ memorial in Indervelli town of Adilabad district on Monday, she alleged that the Congress promised to provide ₹15,000 per acre under the Rythu Barosa scheme before the elections but now announced to implement the scheme with a slashed investment support of ₹12,000 per acre.
The BRS observed State-wide protests on Monday to resent the Congress government’s ‘betrayal’ of farmers, she said.
Reacting to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case in connection with the alleged irregularities in Formula-E race case against BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, she alleged that the Congress government was pursuing vendetta politics to stifle the voice of the Opposition.
“Our party cadres and leaders will not be cowed down and will keep amplifying the people’s voice,” she said, adding that people will teach the Congress a lesson for its ‘politics of vendetta’.
