The 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public examinations began on Friday (March 21, 2025), with over 5.09 lakh students from 11,547 schools in Telangana taking their first language paper. The exams are scheduled from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
In all, there are 2,650 examination centres. Chief superintendents and departmental officers, besides flying squads are monitoring the examination process.
The Director of Government Examinations (DGE) has allowed a grace period of five minutes for candidates to enter the examination centre beyond 9.30 a.m.
According to reports, the examination was concluded smoothly with no major incidents reported. A student in Utkoor mandal of Narayanpet district was reportedly late by 10 mins and was not allowed to enter the examination hall.
In Hyderabad, a total of 77,701 students registered for the examinations and the district has 358 examination centres and 14 flying squads.
