Waltair Division of ECoR ensures passenger safety and smooth travel for Maha Kumbh Mela pilgrims with special measures.
The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (ECoR) officials have said that they are implementing comprehensive measures to ensure passenger safety and a smooth journey for those travelling to Prayag Raj in Uttar Pradesh to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Special trains have been introduced, and additional coaches have been added to long-distance trains to accommodate the rush.
Ticket-checking staff, along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), are conducting intensive checks to ensure that only bonafide passengers are travelling on trains.
In addition, the Commercial and Railway Protection Force departments have formed special teams to oversee crowd management at key stations.
Frequent announcements, digital board displays, and widespread publicity are being used to facilitate pilgrims’ smooth travel experience.
Furthermore, according to a statement issued by K. Saandeep, senior divisional commercial manager of Waltair Division, additional ticket counters are being opened during peak hours to ease congestion.
The zones and divisions falling en route have been intimated and advised to closely monitor cleanliness, water availability, and other essential passenger facilities in the special trains operated by ECoR.
