
Voorhees College wins football tournament held by VIT Vellore

Voorhees College wins All India Football Tournament at VIT's Riviera-2025, with principal congratulating team.
The Voorhees College has emerged victorious at the two-day All India Football Tournament, which was organised by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) at its campus in Vellore on February 17 and 18.
According to a press release, Voorhees College in Vellore bagged the first prize in the tournament that was held as part of VIT’s Riviera-2025.
Riviera-2025 is a four-day annual international sports and cultural fest that will begin on February 20.
The college principal, J. Annie Kamala Florence, congratulated the teams in the presence of P. Anbalagan, vice president; D. Sathya Prasath Kumar, vice principal; S. Caleb Noble Chandar, bursar; N. Anbu, physical director and M. Stanley Prasanna, assistant physical director, the release said.

Accredited Social Activists (ASHA) from across the State congregated in front of the Secretariat on Thursday in a show of strength, bringing traffic and life in general around the Secretariat to a standstill, demanding that they be paid a decent honorarium and incentive for the stellar work they were doing for the Health department at the grassroots.
