The USA-based writer Kiran Prabha started his career as a software professional, but turned to writing in 2007, turned into a journalist to edit an e-journal later and finally completed a whopping 1,300 hours of talk shows.
Addressing a meeting of literary luminaries at an event organised by Sri Venkateswara University’s Telugu Department and Tirupati District Writers Association (TDWA), in association with literary organisations Viswasri Sahithi Samakhya and Eetharam Kavita Vedika, here on Wednesday, he recalled his journey to reach out to the literature-loving Telugu community in the USA.
“I used to prepare for 20 hours for a 40-minute talk show. I can deliver a satisfactory talk only after reading close to 2,000 books”, he said, in response to a query on his efforts behind delivering laudable talk shows. Pointing to those giving lame excuses like ‘I am busy’ and ‘I don’t have time’, Mr. Kiran Prabha curtly said there were no shortcuts in life.
Mr. Kiran Prabha has documented the biographies of 800 prominent personalities, without going into the controversial phases in their lives. “Such inspirational stories have helped many leading a depressed life or nurturing suicidal tendency to quit the thought”, he observed. Mr. Kiran Prabha’s online followers are spread across the age group of 8 to 100 years.
SVU Telugu head R. Rajeswaramma presided over the session, while ‘Sathavadhani’ Amudala Murali welcomed the delegates.
