Save Tamil Nadu from DMK corruption and improve education by voting BJP in 2026 Assembly election.
The Assembly election to be held in 2026 should save Tamil Nadu from the DMK, which is ruining the State with narcotic substances, liquor and corruption, BJP state president K. Annamalai has said.
Addressing a public meeting held at Puliyangudi on Wednesday, Mr. Annamalai said DMK should be uprooted in the 2026 election to ensure safety of women and children and prevent bribe in government offices.
While one Minister, who was lodged in the prison for more than 18 months, could become the Minister again and another Minister got breather from the Supreme Court after being convicted in a lower court in corruption case, he said.
The State was drowning in ₹9.50 lakh crore loan. While the State of Gujarat, which did not have any revenue from liquor sale, had presented surplus budget, the DMK-led ‘Dravidian model government’ was running the administration with an income of ₹50,000 crore from sale of liquor, he charged.
Mr. Annamalai said the Narendra Modi-led Central Government was keen on giving third language to the Tamil Nadu children after Tamil and English, which was being prevented by the Stalin-led DMK Government. Even as the standard of education was alarmingly falling down, 238 teachers had been booked in Tamil Nadu in sexual harassment and sexual assault cases in the last three years.
“Hence, we are keen on improving the standard of education in Tamil Nadu by introducing ‘Navodhaya Vidhyalaya’ in the State for the welfare of poor children. If you (DMK) are not comfortable with this name, we are even prepared to change the name of these schools as ‘Karmaveerar Kamarajar Schools’. If these schools are allowed, each child will get ₹ 85,000-worth educational assistance from the Centre. If you, the voters of Tamil Nadu, want to get this quality education, you should uproot the DMK with your vote,” Mr. Annamalai appealed.
He recalled the unfulfilled promises made by Mr. Stalin for Tenkasi districts during his election campaign like revival of Irattaikulam irrigation scheme, repairing of Shenbagavalli check-dam for irrigating over 1 lakh acres of land in Tenkasi district, Sankarankovil textile park, medical college, agro-based industries, agriculture college in Ayiraperi, mango pulp industry, copra drier, check-dam at Aanaippaalam and lemon-based industry in Puliyangudi etc.

Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister promises an alternative to G.O. 117 and steps to boost admissions in government schools. A total of 10,49,596 students from Classes 1 to 10 moved away from the government schools due to the G.O. issued by the YSRCP dispensation, he informs the Legislative Council. Objecting to a member’s remark on ‘saffronisation in education’, he says the coalition government wants the students to excel, irrespective of caste, religion or region.

The Puducherry government has decided to launch a scheme on April 14, 2025, to distribute free 20-litre water cans to households in places in the Union Territory (UT) where the quality of drinking water has deteriorated, Minister for Public Works K. Lakshminarayanan informed the Assembly on Wednesday (March 19, 2025).
