Superior General overwhelmed by contributions from Fatima College towards education

Fatima College praised for education and women empowerment by Sisters of St. Joseph of Lyons, France, Superior General.
The Fatima College has contributed significantly to education and women empowerment, said The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Lyons, France, Superior General Rev. Sr. Judy Donovan, here on Monday.
Speaking at the college, she said, “I am overwhelmed by the rich legacy of this great institution and its significant contributions to the world.”
The Assistant General Rev. Sr. Colette Soro said, “I see leaders among you. Your community, your country and the world count on you.”
She praised the dedication and hard work of the staff and sisters of the congregation recognising their invaluable contributions to the success of the college.
The guests were received with the auspicious “purna kumbh” welcome symbolising prosperity and blessings.
Dean of Research S. J. Kala, highlighted the remarkable contributions to education and community welfare by the chief guests. Associate Professor and Research Centre of English Head Fernando Delishia felicitated the guests with heartfelt words of admiration, commenting their dedication to service and leadership.
A cultural programme, performed in honour of the guests, was a vibrant display of India’s diverse heritages, featuring a traditional bharathanatyam, a Rajasthani folk dance, a depiction of Krishna’s mischievous dance with Gopikas in Vrindhavan and a fusion of various Indian dance forms.
