Srisailam temple receives over ₹5.69 crore in offerings including gold, silver, and foreign currencies during 16-day period.
The Srisailam temple received more than ₹5.69 crore offerings in its hundis during the 16-day period from February 17 to March 4.
Apart from the cash, the temple had got 87.500 grams of gold and 5.850 kilo of silver as offerings. Among the cash offerings, there were $885 Dollars, 105 Dirhams, £80 Pounds and currencies of other countries like Singapore and Canada. The counting of hundis were held on Wednesday under strict CCTV surveillance. Temple officials, staff and Shiv Sevaks participated in the counting.
