Roundtable on enhancing skills in construction sector
An industrial roundtable conference on the construction sector was conducted here, as part of a series launched earlier this month, by the Department of Employment & Training (DET) in collaboration with the Centre for Good Governance (CGG).
Skill training across sectors is the focus of the series whose theme is ‘Skilling Telangana for Brighter Future’. Six roundtables form part of the series that got underway on March 7, with a programme on the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector, and will conclude on March 21. Besides BFSI and Construction, Life Sciences, Retail, Manufacturing and IT & ITES, are the focus sectors.
Special Chief Secretary to DET Sanjay Kumar delivered the key note while BSCPL Infrastructure MD Bollineni Seenaiah and Majeera Group of Companies CMD G. Yoganand addressed the conference. CGG Director Devi Prasad Juvvadi made the welcome remarks, DET said on Tuesday in a release on the roundtable.
Senior level management representatives from well-known firms including L&T Construction, Raheja Group, Manjeera Group of Companies and Aparna Constructions were among the delegates. There was representation from institutions such as the National Academy of Construction (NAC) and the Telangana Academy of Skilling and Knowledge (TASK).
