The Delhi High Court on Monday sought response of the Centre and Delhi government on a plea to declare as unconstitutional the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) Amendment Act which increases powers of the Lieutenant Governor. This is the third plea challenging the Act after it came into force on April 27. A bench of Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh said it has already issued notice on the earlier two pleas — one by a lawyer and another by a law student — and will pass the same order in the latest petition by a man claiming to be an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member.More Related News
