Supreme Court Judge Justice M.M. Sundresh advises students on perseverance, self-confidence, and hard work for achieving success.
Perseverance, self-confidence and hardwork were the key to success, Supreme Court Judge Justice M.M. Sundresh advised the students at Thiagarajar College here on Tuesday.
Speaking at the 76th College Day celebration, Justice Sundresh advised the students that they should keep trying to achieve success and not lose hope if they failed in their attempt. Victory will give you happiness, but you will learn through failures. Failure is the first step to success. So don’t lose heart and keep trying, he told them, adding that one should live on one’s own terms.
Justice Sundresh felicitated faculty members and students at the event.
Earlier, College secretary Hari Thiagarajan, in his welcome address, spoke about the important judgments delivered by Justice Sundresh with regard to protection of environment and natural resources. Mr. Thiagarajan also spoke about the principle of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG), and the importance of sustainability.
Principal D. Pandiaraja presented the Annual Report for the academic year 2024-25. He highlighted some of the achievements of the college and students in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. College president Uma Kannan was present. Head of the Department of English V. Subathra Devi proposed the vote of thanks.
