Over 9,000 participants take part in Karnataka State Police Run 2025 in Mysuru

Karnataka State Police Run 2025 in Mysuru saw 9,000 participants in 5K and 10K runs, promoting fitness and awareness.
The Karnataka State Police Run 2025, which was organised to promote physical fitness through exercise, spread awareness about cybercrime, and create a narcotic drugs-free society, drew a large number of participants in Mysuru on Sunday.
A release stated that a total of 9,000 people belonging to both the police force and the general public participated in the 5K and 10K runs.
The run was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Southern Range, Boralingaiah, Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, and Superintendent of Mysuru district police N. Vishnuvardhan on the Mysuru Palace premises.
The participants took the routes earmarked by the organisers for 5K and 10K runs.
The participants of the 5K run began from Mysuru Palace and passed through K.R. Circle, D. Devaraj Urs Road, JLB Road, MUDA Circle, Ramaswamy Circle, Thathaiah Circle, Gun House Circle, and Hardinge Circle, before reaching Balarama Gate of Mysuru Palace.
Meanwhile, participants of the 10K run began from Mysuru Palace and passed through K.R. Circle and D. Devaraj Urs Road before taking a right at JLB Road junction and reaching Metropole junction. From there, they took a left turn onto Hunsur Road and passed through Kalamandira junction, Paduvarahalli junction and took a left onto Open Air Theatre Road and passed through Senate Bhavan, Clock Tower Road, and Kuvempu Statue junction in Manasagangothri, Bogadi Road, Fire Brigade Junction, Ekalavya Circle, Ramaswamy Circle, Thathaiah circle, Gun House Circle, and Hardinge Circle before reaching Balarama Gate of Mysuru Palace.
In the 10K run, Sumeet Pal bagged the first prize, while Deekshit Y.S. and Tanuj Kumar K. won the second and third prizes.
