Nagababu is Jana Sena Party candidate for A.P. Legislative Council polls under MLA quota. JSP chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan gives his brother the green signal to file nomination papers.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president K. Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday announced the candidature of his brother K. Nagababu for the elections to the MLA quota seats in the Legislative Council scheduled to be held on March 20.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan gave Mr. Nagababu, who is currently JSP general secretary, the green signal to file nomination for the elections, according to a press release by MLC P. Hariprasad.
Mr. Nagababu was previously expected to be sent to the Rajya Sabha, but it did not materialise due to the prevalent circumstances. He had been inducted into the State Cabinet late last year but no portfolio was allocated to him. Election to the Legislative Council might pave the way for it.
