More financial assistance for completion of houses under PMAY

Government extends financial assistance for PMAY houses, with additional funds for SC, BC, ST, and PVTG beneficiaries.
Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad has said that the government will extend additional financial assistance for the completion of houses sanctioned to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY).
Addressing the media on Wednesday (March 12, 2025), the Collector said that the Government had issued G.O. RT no. 9, permitting the release of additional financial assistance to beneficiaries of houses which were at various stages of completion. This decision was taken as part of the ‘Swarnandhra Vision 2047’ to provide houses to all by 2029.
When the cost of the unit is 1.80 lakh, SC and BC beneficiaries would be given an additional ₹50,000 while the STs would be given ₹75,000 and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG s) would be given ₹1 lakh.
Mr. Harendhira Prasad said that 24,696 houses were being constructed in the district under the PMAY urban and PMAY rural schemes. The target was to complete 7,750 houses by the May-end.
