At the function, Mr. Rajendran said the Chief Minister implemented various welfare schemes for the benefit of women, including free bus travel, Pudhumai Penn Thittam, and the Kalaingar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. For the women’s self-help groups, several hundred crores of rupees were provided as loans in Salem district. Other states such as West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana were following the schemes implemented in Tamil Nadu.
