Home Minister Anitha inspects Bhavani Deeksha arrangements at Indrakeeladri, accompanied by officials, ensuring devotees' comfort and safety.
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha visited Indrakeeladri and enquired about the arrangements made for Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment, on Sunday, December 22.
Collector G. Lakshmisha, Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam Executive Officer K.S. Rama Rao, and Police Commissioner S.V. Rajashekar Babu were among the officials who accompanied the Minister.
Ms. Anitha inspected the queue lines, Prasadam counters, bathing ghats and other places and observed the arrangements made for Giripradakshana. She interacted with the Bhavani devotees and enquired them about the facilities.
Mr. Lakshmisha explained that all arrangements, including drinking water and emergency services, were provided to the Bhavani devotees who were visiting the temple to relinquish their Deeksha.
The Police Commissioner said drones have been arranged to monitor the devotee rush from bus and railway stations.
Later, the Home Minister visited the Model Guest House and observed the pilgrims and the arrangements through the CCTVs installed at various locations.
The Cubbon Park administration has said that any event organised inside the park with over 20 participants need prior permission from the Horticulture Department and in some cases, even permission from the police. This comes after the row over organisers of Cubbon Reads, a reading community, being detained on Saturday, as several turned up for a Secret Santa party.
