Panjagutta Police arrest three in criminal conspiracy involving forgery, impersonation, extortion, with former minister as prime accused.
The Panjagutta Police have arrested three individuals for their involvement in a criminal conspiracy involving forgery, impersonation, attempted extortion, and offences under the Information Technology Act.
Police have also named former minister T. Harish Rao as the prime accused and former DCP Task Force officer Radha Kishan Rao as his accomplice in the case.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Todupunoori Santosh Kumar, a 35-year-old SIM card sales executive and proprietor of Bhavani Communications in Siddipet, Bandi Parsharamulu, 34, from Seetaram Nagar, Siddipet, and Teljeer Vamshi Krishna, 37, Arogya Sree District Manager from Nalgonda district.
The case was registered following a complaint from Chakradhar Goud, also known as Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud, a businessman.
“He claimed of being subjected to life threats, torture, and illegal surveillance. He also alleged that he was receiving blackmail messages via WhatsApp from an anonymous account linked to an unknown number,” said the police in an official statement on Saturday, February 16, 2025.
Further inquiries established that Vamshi Krishna had previously worked with the complainant and was unemployed after being removed from the Arogyasri department on corruption charges. He was later reinstated in June 2023 and worked in the camp office of Harish Rao, the then Health Minister, until December 2023.
As part of the investigation, evidence was seized from the accused following due legal procedure, said a police media release.
