Form 12D was distributed to the voters, and a total of 209 electors above 85 and 47 persons with disabilities expressed their willingness and submitted the filled-up form to their respective booth-level officers.
Election officials said teams would visit their residence on January 23, 24, 25, and 27. After verifying their identity cards, their signature/thumb impression would be obtained, and the ballot paper would be issued. They would then cast their vote, and the ballot paper would be dropped into the designated box and securely stored in the strong room in the Corporation Central Office.
Officials stated that if voters are not available on the scheduled date and time, the team would revisit their residence after intimating them beforehand. If voters are still unavailable, they would not be allowed to cast their votes during the polling on February 5, officials clarified. They also mentioned that the entire process would be videographed and conducted in the presence of representatives of recognised political parties.
