Andhra Pradesh government is keen on developing Visakhapatnam as the best tourist destination, says APTDC Managing Director
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation(APTDC) Managing Director Amrapali Kata has said that the State government is keen on developing Visakhapatnam as the best tourist destination in the State. She asked the officials of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) to take up all projects that can attract tourists from all over the world.
She reviewed the projects and plans with the officials concerned at the VMRDA office here on Thursday, which was attended by VMRDA Commissioner K.S. Viswanathan.
The officials gave PowerPoint presentations of various plans and proposals for tourism projects, including completed and under-construction projects. She gave instructions to the officials and asked them to be ready with updates at the next meeting.
The event will run daily from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m., offering a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy dance and music performances, hands-on art experiences, film screenings, and exhibitions from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. These will feature folk cuisines, leather puppets, philately, textiles, and handicrafts.
