Join VIT's webinar on 'How AI Is Reshaping the Future' with experts discussing AI trends and industry alignment.
As part of the Career Counselling Series, a webinar on ‘How AI Is Reshaping the Future’ will be held by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), in collaboration with The Hindu Education Plus, on Saturday (January 25, 2024) at 11.30 a.m.
Geraldine Bessie Amali D., associate professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT-Vellore, will discuss trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and their importance. Sasikumar S., professor (higher academic grade) and director-admissions at VIT, will speak on ‘Admissions, AI-related Courses Offered, Competitiveness in this Field, and Placement Opportunities’.
Rathinavelu Arumugam, lead-education programmes and academia engagement, LTIMindtree (an L&T Group Company), Chennai, will talk on ‘The Future of AI and its Alignment with Industry Requirements’. Vishwanathan Raman, principal director, LTIMindtree, Chennai, will discuss ‘Advancements in AI in Terms of Product Development and Research.’
Joining the webinar from Kent State University, Ohio, United States (U.S.), is Caven S. Mcloughlin, emeritus professor, lifespan development and educational sciences, who will share insights on ‘Psychology in Everyday Life’. Further, professors from the VIT’s School of Social Sciences and Languages will participate. Vijayabanu U., assistant professor will speak on ‘Psychology for the Lifespan’’.

The event will run daily from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m., offering a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy dance and music performances, hands-on art experiences, film screenings, and exhibitions from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. These will feature folk cuisines, leather puppets, philately, textiles, and handicrafts.
