Taking over as Commissioner of Police on Saturday, Shankar Jiwal said necessary measures will be taken to enforce the lockdown and to to maintain law and order in the city. Shankar Jiwal, a 1990-batch IPS officer, replacing Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal. Mr. Jiwal was a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2019.
