Hyderabad metropolitan development authority HMDA announces call centre number for assistance with Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and plot registration in unauthorised layouts
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has established a call centre for assistance with regard to Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and registration of plots in unauthorised layouts.
The call centre may be reached at 1800 599 8838, a statement from HMDA said. Further, it also informed that the LRS 2020 website now allows citizens to check application status, approval proceeding, fee details, shortfall details and rejection letters without logging in.
The government had earlier issued an amendment to the LRS, allowing the registration of unregistered plots in unauthorised layouts provided at least 10% of the plots had been sold via registered sale deed before August 26, 2020. This applies regardless of whether the owners applied under LRS 2020 or not.
LRS applications of plots falling within 200m of water bodies/lakes will be processed through the Revenue and Irrigation Department. For LRS applications of plots not falling in prohibited lands, lakes & waterbodies or within 200m of water bodies/ lakes, the provisional LRS fee notice will be automatically generated, allowing applicants to avail the 25% rebate if paid by March 31, 2025.
Applicants may opt to pay pro-rata open space charges at the time of building permission in which case they will not be eligible for the rebate, the note from HMDA informed.
