Congress MP promises to fill up ponds, tanks in Komuravelli mandal in Siddipet district
HYDERABAD
Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy told farmers in Komuravelli mandal of Siddipet district that he would ensure filling up of ponds and tanks.
During his visit to the Tapaspalli reservoir on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy acknowledged the severe water crisis faced by farmers due to depleting water level in the reservoir.
He attributed the crisis to the lack of water released into the reservoir over the past few days, resulting in dried-up ponds, scarce ground water, and parched fields. He promised to release water from Dharmasagar and Bommakuru to address this issue.
The MP also assured farmers that he would speak with Irrigation Department officials to resolve difficulties in pumping water into the reservoir. He promised to conduct review meets with local farmers and officials to identify and address water problems, ensuring that farmers would have access to irrigation and drinking water in the dry season.
He also instructed officials to visit the villages of Arjun Patta and Kamalayapalli in Cheryala mandal, to resolve their water issues.
