
Concrete mixing truck falls on car in Belagavi, passengers rescued

The truck driver lost control while trying to take a steep turn on the road.
Police and fire and emergency service personnel rescued two persons who got stuck inside a car after a cement concrete mixing truck fell on the vehicle, at Nehru Nagar in Belagavi on March 15.
Parappa Balaikai and Ningappa Koppad had come to Belagavi from Dharwad for car servicing. They were waiting for their relatives on the road near the KLE hospital when the truck fell on the car. They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The truck driver lost control while trying to take a steep turn on the road. The truck fell on the car parked, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime and traffic) Niranjan Raje Urs visited the spot.
