BRS members boycott Telangana CM's speech, protesting against his remarks against KCR. The BRS members appealed to the Speaker to revoke the party MLA G Jagadish Reddy’s suspension.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) members boycotted Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s reply to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma’s address in the Assembly on Saturday (March 15, 2025), protesting against the Chief Minister’s remarks against BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
It may be recalled that Mr. Reddy had made controversial remarks against the former Chief Minister KCR. Raising objections, BRS leaders had already lodged complaints at various police stations across the State.
On Saturday, soon after Speaker G. Prasad Kumar announced that the Chief Minister would reply to the Governor’s speech, BRS members staged a walkout in protest.
Earlier in the day, the BRS had appealed to the Speaker to revoke the suspension of BRS MLA and former Minister G. Jagadish Reddy. Former Minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao stated that Mr. Jagadish Reddy had not disrespected the Chair in the House. “Considering our plea, we request you to revoke Jagadish Reddy’s suspension,” Mr. Rao appealed to the Speaker.
