Rajan Dental Institute hosts dental implant conclave with Indian Dental Association and AOMSI, featuring awards and interactive sessions.
Rajan Dental Institute, with the support of the Indian Dental Association and the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI)–Tamil Nadu and Puducherry branch, held a dental implant conclave on Sunday.
R. Manikandan, national president of AOMSI, and K. Arun Kumar, honorary secretary, presented awards to outstanding alumni and winners of a quiz and case presentation competition held on the occasion, a press release said. Gunaseelan Rajan, medical director of the institute, and professors R. Hariharan and M. Shiva Shankar spoke on the latest trends and advancements in implant dentistry.
Dr. Rajan led an interactive surgical session that demonstrated advanced techniques in zygomatic implants. A panel discussion on recent advances in dental implantology was also held, the release added.

The Puducherry government has decided to launch a scheme on April 14, 2025, to distribute free 20-litre water cans to households in places in the Union Territory (UT) where the quality of drinking water has deteriorated, Minister for Public Works K. Lakshminarayanan informed the Assembly on Wednesday (March 19, 2025).
