Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ has surpassed ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ as his highest-grossing film, amassing Rs 343 crore globally in just eight days
After collecting ₹ 310.50 crore at the box office globally in its first week, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaavahas surpassed the actor’s previous highest grosser, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Here are five records set by the historical drama.
According to tracking website Sacnilk, the film has amassed a worldwide total of ₹ 343 crore, eight days since its release. Uri: The Surgical Strike, which released in 2019, had collected ₹ 342 crore.
Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, has now become Vicky Kaushal’s most successful film yet. The historical drama also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna.
Continuing its strong run, Chhaava registered a ticket sale of 708K on its second Friday, the most for any Indian film in 2025, according to Koimoi. In the last one year, only Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has had a better number (783K). Chhaava collected ₹ 24.03 crore in India on the eighth day.

By crossing the ₹ 200-crore mark in the first week, the film has become the ninth fastest Bollywood movie to achieve the milestone.
In terms of worldwide collections, Chhaava has sped past Sky Force, Game Changer and the Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam.
