Bollywood star Alia Bhatt on Wednesday took to Instagram to praise her Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal’s performance in the blockbuster period biopic, Chhaava. It is worth mentioning that the two stars are joining hands for Love & War, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial that also features actor and Alia’s husband Ranbir Kapoor.
Alia shared a picture of Vicky from Chhaava on her Instagram story to praise his performance.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the Hindi historical drama is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, the film features Akshay Khanna as Aurangzeb while Rashmika Mandanna plays Yesubhai Bhonsale.
Earlier last week, actor and Vicky’s wife Katrina Kaif took to her Instagram to heap praises on his performance and the film.
Notably, Chhaava, with a nett collection of Rs 165 crore in its first five days, is inching to become the highest-grosser in Vicky Kaushal’s career so far. As of now, Uri: The Surgical Strike, is the biggest hit in Vicky Kaushal’s filmography with a box office result of Rs 244.14 crore. Chhaava has also surpassed the box office numbers of Raazi (2018), which marked his first collaboration with Alia.
Meanwhile, Love & War is all set to release in theatres on March 20, 2026. The film will mark a reunion between Ranbir and Bhansali after the actor's 2007 debut Saawariya. While Vicky has never worked with the filmmaker, Alia teamed up with Bhansali in the 2022 drama Gangubai Kathiawadi.
