Atharvaa’s next titled ‘Idhayam Murali’; teaser out
Atharvaa is next playing the lead in Idhayam Murali, a romantic drama. Produced by Dawn Pictures, the film’s title is a reference to Atharvaa’s father and late actor Murali’s cult classic love film Idhayam, in which the veteran played the character Murali.
The makers of the upcoming film released the film’s first look as well as a title announcement teaser. The film also stars Preity Mukundhan, Kayadu Lohar, Natty, Rakshan, Pragya, Angeline, and Yashashree. Music composer Thaman is returning to acting after playing one of the leads in Shankar’s 2003 Tamil film Boys. The film also stars Sudhakar and Dravid from the Parithabangal YouTube channel and content creator Niharika NM.
The title teaser introduces us to Idhaya (Atharvaa) who, in New York, is watching a 2012 recording of him with his fellow doctor friends in which one of his friends proposes to his girlfriend. When he gets a call from his uncle asking for his whereabouts, we learn that Idhaya is all set for his wedding as he leaves New York to Chennai.
Helmed by Aakash Baskaran, the film is produced by the filmmaker’s banner Dawn Pictures which is currently bankrolling multiple projects like Dhanush’s Idli Kadai, Silambarasan’s STR 49 and Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi. Interestingly, Atharvaa is also playing an important role in Parasakthi.
Idhayam Murali’s technical crew consists of cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and editor Pradeep E Ragav. Thaman is also composing music for the film. Aakash has penned the script and written the dialogues along with Dravid and Ramanagirivasan.
