“Dr. Manmohan Singh is a unique leader who has shaped India’s destiny in a crucial historical juncture (1991-2014). He is praised and criticised equally for what he has done and what he has not, for his words as much as for his silence. While we deeply mourn his passing, we also recognize this as a moment to thoughtfully reflect on and critically examine the impact of his policies,” said the organisers of the event in a release. Following the lectures, there will be a discussion on the implications of Dr Singh’s policies for the present and the future of India.
The event is being held at Gandhi Bhavan, near Chitrakala Parishat, from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on January 3.
