Prof. Y. L. Srinivas appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University, with extensive experience in English literature.
Professor of English Y. L. Srinivas has been appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University on Tuesday.
Prof. Srinivas is currently working as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Aurora Education and Research Academy (Aurora University) in Hyderabad and he earlier worked at Osmania University and also at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) as a professor of English.
Hailing from Bodhan in Nizamabad district, Prof. Srinivas obtained his MA in English, M.Phil and PhD from Osmania University. He joined Osmania University in 1992 and was posted at the University College for Women, Koti for a long period before moving to Arts College, OU campus.
Prof. Srinivas’s research concerns include Post-colonial Literature, Indian writing in English, Film and Media Studies, and English Language teaching, among others. He has published over 34 articles in national and international journals apart from publishing 10 textbooks from multinational publishing houses such as Cambridge, Macmillan, and Orient Black Swan. He also served as a Council Member for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC
Prof. Srinivas implemented effective pedagogic strategies for imparting writing skills to judicial officers across different levels of hierarchy. He has successfully guided seven scholars towards their PhD programmes so far.
