Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Thursday stood at 122.45 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 235 cusecs and a discharge of 667 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 64.70 ft. (71 ft.) with an inflow of 775 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 5,035.65.
The rainfall (in mm) recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was as follows: Sothupparai dam 2, Shanmuganadhi dam 0.8, Gudalur 0.6 and Viraganur 0.2.
