Thousands of devotees visited Sri Radha Krishna Mandir on Hare Krishna Hill and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple on Vaikuntha Hill in Bengaluru on Friday, January 10, celebrating Vaikunta Ekadashi.
Thousands of devotees visited Sri Radha Krishna Mandir on Hare Krishna Hill and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple on Vaikuntha Hill in Bengaluru on Friday, January 10, celebrating Vaikunta Ekadashi.
The celebrations began at 3 a.m with Suprabhata Seva to Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda. The temples were adorned with colourful flowers and festoons, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Special sangeeta seva was offered by renowned singers Medha Vidyabhushan and Sooryagayatri.
Prominent political figures, including B.S. Yediyurappa, R.V. Deshpande, and K.H. Muniyappa, along with film personalities Ramesh Arvind, Priyanka Upendra, and Jaggesh, visited the temples.
Throughout the day, specially prepared laddoos and prasadam were distributed to the devotees.
Madhu Pandit Dasa, president of ISKCON Bengaluru, expressed happiness over the large turnout, with thousands of devotees attending the celebrations at both locations.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), probing the death of contractor, Sachin Panchal, who allegedly ended his life in Bidar on December 26 last year, arrested five persons, including the prime accused Rajkumar Kapnoor, a former member of the Kalaburagi Mahanagara Palike, and reportedly a follower of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister, Priyank Kharge, on Friday.
