Commuters in Cyberabad could face inconvenience due to traffic diversions around BHEL junction as works are taken up on March 7-8, 2025, plan alternate routes in advance.
Motorists and commuters in Hyderabad could face inconvenience as BHEL junction work is being taken up on March 7 and 8, 2025. The commissioning and shifting of the Phase-II 1500 mm PSC pipeline to a new MS pipeline along the National Highway at BHEL will be undertaken to prevent future inconvenience.
The project, as per the advisory issued by the Cyberabad traffic police, requires a 48-hour shutdown of the MWSS Phase-II Water Treatment Plant and the 1500 mm diameter PSC pumping main from Kalabgoor to Hydernagar, leading to traffic diversions for the period.
Traffic from Patancheru towards Chandanagar will be diverted via the new BHEL flyover while those travelling from Patancheru towards Lingampally and Nallagandla will be required to use the service road at BHEL flyover, take a right turn at CMR Shopping Mall and proceeding through the underpass.
For commuters travelling from Lingampally to Chandanagar, traffic will be redirected via BHEL Circle, passing through Zaheerabad Bus Stop and proceeding onto the BHEL flyover to reach their destination. Those commuting from Ameenpur towards Chandanagar will need to take a diversion at Sridevi Theatre, turning right towards BHEL X Road before reaching Chandanagar.
Given the anticipated congestion, travellers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and opt for alternate routes wherever possible.
