Lay paver blocks
The rain that lashed Tirunelveli on March 22 inundated a street with 52 houses at Subam Colony KTC Nagar in Keezhanatham panchayat of Tirunelveli district. The houses on both sides of the street are badly affected due to waterlogging and residents have to wade through the muddy water to reach home. I request the authorities to laying paver block road immediately on this north-south stretch as this is the only solution to solve the problem.

Remove obstructions
Mukkadal dam is the main source of drinking water for the people of Nagercoil. Now, the water level is nearly empty, despite heavy rains. Many lakes and tanks, essential for recharging groundwater, are also drying up. The water-holding capacity in the water bodies can be improved only by removing encroachments and letting in rainwater through the supply channels. PWD officials and the district authorities are requested to maintain the reservoirs by removing the obstructions in the flow of water en route, so that we may not face drinking water scarcity in the future.
